Chef Patrick D’Andrea was born in the Florentine hills of Italy; he learned the secret of traditional authentic Italian cuisine from his mother. His family owned a bed and breakfast in Florence (poderecasarotta.com) they used typical local products, farm to table where Chef Patrick embrace is passion and take the first steps in the direction of becoming a chef, giving cooking classes at the young age of 14. He enrolled in the renowned Aurelio Saffi Culinary Institute in Florence after graduating he start his professional carrier as a chef the partie at the prestigious Excelsior Hotel in Florence. He decide to leave Florence for a new culinary learning and experiences in Switzerland at the Splendid Royale Hotel where he bring his exquisite palate and creativity to everything he touched. His determination to grow meant he signed up on with Cipriani, over 4 years, he worked at the historical Harry’s Bar in Venice as chef de partie, to Cipriani Hong Kong and then to New York to Cipriani Rainbow Room and Cipriani Downtown as a Chef de Cuisine where he have the opportunity to cook for the biggest name of the fashion industry and Hollywood as Valentino, Naomi Campbell, De Niro, Leonardo di Caprio and many, many more! In is career he has been on National TV and has been a Food Network guest on the TV show 'Beat Bobby Flay U.S.A.' Also Chef Patrick D’Andrea contribute opening multiple successful hospitality project as Metamorphosis restaurant and Lounge in Switzerland and Gigante restaurant and bar in New York. Beside his great restaurant hospitality back round now Chef Patrick D’Andrea became a private chef for celebrities as the Jimmy Choo founder, Walt Disney president and the Queen of Pop herself! Cooking in multiple residences, yachts and private jets. Now in the time off Chef Patrick D’ Andrea and his partner Alexandra are finally in London after the great success in New York (Check out their recent appearance on FOX news: http://www.fox5ny.com/news/263514492-story.) Patrick and Alex were incredible hosts!! Their home is so beautiful and cozy at par with their delicious food and sangria!!! They made us feel at home from the minute we stepped in and the food was so tasty, beautifully presented and we could tell they used the best ingredients :) (some brought from their home towns) ... each plate was served to our table with a lovely explanation of its origins or what it was made of! I loved every single plate and the company of their other guests, we even sang a little song or two with Alex ;) ...
