We are a couple of Argentine-Spanish in their thirties. Pablo is a tour guide and Ainhoa is a filmmaker. We love traveling, cooking and meeting new people and cultures. We shared a flat in Madrid for 10 years with people from all over the world, so one of our passions is to organize dinners and accompany food with good conversation. We live in Plaza mayor, one of the most emblematic places in Madrid, and we are lucky to enjoy with amazing views of all Madrid, from our terrace. If you come at sunset time, you'll enjoy a panoramic that even people from Madrid don't know.

An amazing evening was spent with Pablo. As a hostess to several guests, they voted this was their favorite evening. If you are at all interested in culture, a local flavor and great conversation, spend your evening in an immersive setting with Pablo---bonus is a fabulous dinner! Another bonus may be meeting his lovely wife who taught him all he knows! ;) hehe! Joking Pablo! Thank you for an amazing evening! I hope to see you again!
We had a great experience. Pablo was very welcoming! Like having dinner with friends! The food was just great and the view from the terrace amazing. Communication went smoothly, asking me beforehand what our children liked to drink/eat, etc, ... Pablo had lots to tell about Madrid, so that came in quite handy, since it was our first night in the city. Thanks for a lovely dinner! Hope to see each other again one day!
Pablo - Madrid. Everything has it's price and for dinner and an evening with Pablo at his 4th floor apartment in Plaza Mayor, the price was simple, walk up the 4 flights of stairs to earn your dinner. Believe me it was tough but well worth it. The day went well with wandering the streets of Madrid and the shops ow Plaza Mayor and Plaza del Sol. This note is very important: RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO GO INTO MERCADO de San MIGUEL BEFORE DINNER. It may be the hardest thing you do that day but you will be well rewarded with an enchanting dinner experience unlike any other. Pablo, your gracious Argentinean host will greet you at the door, take your coats and make you feel welcome in his home with a glass of wine and some bread. He will be busy in the kitchen but the real treat awaits you upstairs after the sun begins to set. The sky glows from his roof top terrace that overlooks the Plaza and you can see for mile all around the city - a stunning view to be sure. He also has a unique glass skylight that you can look through to see the dining table in the room below. I now have pictures of my wife and friends through that skylight looking up at me. Pablo fired up the grill he had up there and the magic dance of smoke and fire began. While waiting we talked of his country and my country and the things we had seen and done so far and then he put the meat on and we stopped talking. There were sausages, steak and pork ribs like I've never seen before. I wandered back downstairs to await the feast. Another diner went up to keep Pablo company while he watched over the meat and those of us in the dining room snacked on bread, cheese, jamon and drank more wine. Soon dinner was server and by now we were all very comfortable and ready. The meal was wonderful, obviously not Pablo's first attempt at grilling anything. He told us about the foods he served from his country, his life and work adventures, and his travels. We ate it all up and then he brought out desert: lemon sorbet made with champagne. Perfect complement to the evening. For those of you trying to figure out if this experience is for you, I have the answer - HELL YES IT IS. Go reach out and grab it with bot hands and enjoy the ride. We would have never gotten to do or see any of this without taking a chance and trusting someone. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND KNOW ON A STRANGER'S DOOR IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY. It's the best way to make it less foreign and more familiar. We'll never forgot our night at Pablo's. Mucho Gusto y Muchas Gracias. Enjoy your travels.
